Australian Apostille | Helpline Group
January 23, 2023 ⚊ 1 Min read ⚊ Views 63 ⚊ BUSINESSForeign governments occasionally demand evidence that the official signatures on Australian papers are legitimate before they will accept them. The Department of Foreign Affairs and Trade (DFAT) must compare a signature, stamp, or seal on an official Australian public document to a specimen that is on file before determining whether it is authentic. Following verification of its authenticity, DFAT will validate the signature, stamp, or seal and issue a certificate or stamp in the form of an “authentication” or an apostille, which is signed by DFAT personnel and sealed with a wet and dry seal. Obtaining an Australia apostille is a swift job, but not that much easy. You should become aware of a few rules that are particular to the process of needing an apostille to have your documents ready in the correct form and so prevent delays. You must first be aware that you must produce the original document or a notarized copy to receive the authentication or apostille.
