The majority of mountain lakes are located in valleys along riverbeds or glacier beds, however, Bhrigu Lake is positioned on a high mountain ridge, which distinguishes it from other lakes. It is situated at a height of 14000 feet, half the height of the big Mount Everest, to the side south of Rohtang Pass on the mountain that forms the river Beas’ left bank slope.
