A Seattle landlord claims that rent skippers are more prevalent than ever.

Haglund argues that the difficulty and cost of properly evicting the renters under this COVID restriction are increased by the city’s recently passed legislation. Haglund brought up the case of a particular tenant—KING 5 will omit the tenant’s name—who allegedly hasn’t cleaned up after his animals in months. Haglund claims that the tenant is also late on their rent payments. Ten percent or more of the landlord’s numerous tenants are reportedly in arrears on their rent.
