The airline booking system is a component of a larger system known as passenger service systems (PSS) and the entire PSS is responsible for delivering booking and other airline-related features to the end-users. But now the airline booking system has changed to computer reservation systems (CRS).
Every travel agency and other distribution channels have their own CRS integrated with the global distribution system which allows them to interact with the inventories of different airlines.
Travel agencies these days are fully dependent on technology for engaging with clients worldwide. The conventional offline procedures are no longer in use. With the advent of travel technologies, travel companies are using many online tools that permit customers to reserve seats and handle other travel deals online.
