Beginner Blues Guitar

Check out John Watson Jr. aka “Johnny Guitar” Watson! He was an American blues, soul, and funk musician and singer-songwriter. He’s best known for classic hits such as “A Real Motha For Ya”, “Superman Lover” and “Ain’t That a Bitch”. He emerged in the 1950s & 1960s but many are familiar with the funk overtones be brought to his music more so in the 1970s. I wasn’t able to read on much about his childhood but here is a little bit of history. Johnny was born in Houston, TX and had the privilege of growing up with a pianist father. His grandpa was also a musical soul as well as a preacher. His grandpa was the first to give him a guitar.
