Amphibians are known to carry salmonella however, so be aware that kissing frogs could cause some serious intestinal discomfort! It is more likely that by kissing a frog, you could make the frog sick by exposing it to bacteria or chemicals (like lotion or lip gloss) from your mouth and/or hands. In short, frogs in a pond are a very good sign! Frogs in an ecosystem are a good sign that the ecosystem is healthy.
