Cleaner fuel considerably lowers greenhouse gas emissions and environmental pollution from vehicles. CNG, as its name implies, is just natural gas that has been pressure-compressed to fit more of it into a smaller space in your fuel tank. A pressure of 200 to 250 kg/cm2 is used to compress CNG. Less than 1% of its volume at atmospheric pressure is taken up by this compressed form. The components of CNG are different from those of liquefied petroleum gas (LPG). Approximately 80 to 90 percent of CNG is methane gas, whereas the liquid form of LPG is a compressed mixture of propane and butane.
