The Gokyo to Everest Base Camp Trek, also known as the Mt. Everest (8848m) Circuit Trek, is one of the most popular treks in the Himalayas. The trek takes you along a route via the high altitude Cho La Pass (5,420m) to Everest Base Camp. The trek begins at Lukla and then to Phakding and Namche Bazaar. It then proceeds through several villages until arriving at Gokyo, Mt. Everest Base Camp, and finally to Kala Patthar (Black Rock) – a well-known viewpoint from where Everest is clearly visible.
