The transition from SBCGlobal to AT&T has caused some confusion for long-time users. Originally, SBCGlobal email accounts were standalone and offered directly by SBC. However, once the company merged with AT&T, these email services were gradually integrated into AT&T\\\’s system. Existing SBCGlobal users retained their email addresses, but they had to start using AT&T’s login portals and customer support services. Despite the merger and rebranding, SBCGlobal.net email addresses have remained functional and continue to serve users, though new SBCGlobal accounts are no longer created.
