Serum glycoprotein is formed by post-translational glycosylation of proteins, which nearly occupy 50% of total protein in serum. Same to other types of glycoprotein, serum glycoproteins play a critical role in a range of biological processes, such as determining the half-life of protein in the blood, affecting other proteins transportation, changing cellar processes and immunizing, and some signal pathways.
