From spring 2023, Opel will also be offering the Astra, previously available as a plug-in hybrid, diesel, and petrol engine, as a fully electric sedan and station wagon. The Opel Astra Sports Tourer Electric is thus the first station wagon from a German car manufacturer suitable for many buyers. The electric motor produces 115 kW (156 horsepower) and 270 Newton meters of maximum torque, both of which are available from the first touch of the accelerator pedal, ensuring quick starts and exhilarating acceleration. While many other electric vehicles have top speeds of 150 or 160 km/h, the new Astra Electric boasts a top speed of 170 km/h.
