Common telltales of concealed mould usually include a lingering, mushy smell. Mould causes microscopic volatile organic compounds, compounds containing chemicals that give off this so-called “mould smell.” Even when you haven’t seen any visible presence of mould, a nasty smell is a good suspicion that mould could be building up behind the walls and under carpets and other nooks and crannies, unseen. If you keep smelling it without being able to pinpoint its source, Mould Sample Testing is a good next step. This approach allows you to determine exactly where the mould is located and at what intensity level, thus guiding the correct remediation of the case.
