The outbreak of the COVID-19 pandemic increased consumer awareness of health and wellbeing. Due to the ability of wearable electronics to track steps, heart rate and monitor overall physical activity, the penetration rate has increased over the last two years and is expected to reach over a quarter of households in 2021. Wearable devices are not only used for tracking health, but also for the prevention of health-related problems by using advanced sensors to produce improved data points.
